Group Project: Evidence Based Practice
Purpose: To engage in and experience the research process. To work as part of a team. To understand the value of evidence based research in changing practice. You will begin by selecting a topic. Try to identify something that you really want to answer. Discuss a new way to solve the problem based on current research.
A way to identify topics may be to ask yourself questions such as: Isn’t there a better way of doing…..? Does it really make sense to……? What is the safest or most effective way to……? You might also get ideas from research sections of nursing journals or newsletters. The important deciding factor is whether the intervention is something nursing does and/or has control over.
