There are 8peer-reviewed Pharmacy journal articlesin the folder called ‘MPharm essays 2014’.Each of them has ‘essay group’ allocated for you. You will be assigned one of them to write about.

These reports discuss subjects such as depression and anxiety, which you have been taught about, or will be taught on Nov 20. For your in course assessment you should review the science behind these articles. It is expected that you will read around the subject area and reference various textbooks and journal articles(15 max), thus, if you hope to get a good mark, you will need to undertake appropriate literature searches using pubmed, medline or other search engines. Your review should have a beginning (an introduction), the main section where you make your arguments about whether you agree or disagree with the article, and an end (the conclusions). You should have a reference list at the end. Please use Arial or Times New Roman justified, font size 12. Make sure to include an appropriate reference section at the end (which should NOT be included in the word limit).Do not use any figures or pictures. You must submit your completed work by 16.00 on Thursday, 11th December 2014 by
• submitting a copy electronically into the Turn-It-In system, and
• handing in a printed copy (which matches the electronic copy exactly) of your essay to the Student Centre found at the entrance to SGUL (for attention of Daria Gardner).See Module guide for further guidance.

Marking Criteria
As a rough guide you will gain marks in this assignment in the following way:
Give an accurate summary of the journal article as your introduction (approx. 20%)
Accurately identify any areas of contention within the article (10%).
Discuss these areas of contention with reference to evidence from your literature search (approx. 40%).
Come to a balanced conclusion (10%)
Using appropriate literature, including a reference section properly presented.(10 %).
Overall presentation, spelling and grammar (approx.10 %).
